Result:
1. Full Years: 2025 - 1985 = 40 years.
2. Since November 20th hasn't passed yet, the full age is 39 years.
3. Months: The elapsed time from Nov 20th, 2024 to Oct 20th, 2025 is 11 months.
4. Days: The time from Oct 20th to Oct 28th is 8 days.
5. Exact Age: 39 years, 11 months, and 8 days.

Yes, all accurate age calculations must account for leap years. Every four years, an extra day (February 29th) is added to the calendar. This calculator's internal logic correctly handles the 366 days in a leap year when calculating the total days, hours, and minutes between two dates.
The "days" calculation is dynamic. Your total days old increases every day at midnight. If you check your age first thing in the morning on October 28th, 2025, and check again on the morning of October 29th, 2025, your total days old will have increased by one day.
You can use this calculator to find the chronological age of your pet in years and days, but it cannot calculate their "human equivalent age." Pet age conversion requires species-specific formulas (e.g., dogs age faster in their first year) that this simple date difference calculator does not include.
